For the English portion I wrote the recipes of the foods and the direction/instructions to preform the dishes. For the art portion I am cooking food for the teachers and students. For the history portion I am writing about the African dishes, American foods, soul foods, and more background history about the Africans and Americans.

Project 3For my third Apollo Project, I decided to do research about psychiatrist and because I wanted to learn what they do and what it takes to become one. I wanted to make a project about the traits a psychiatrist should have in order to become one. I thought the research helped me make this project seem like a career project in a way because I do want to be a psychiatrist in the future. For the english portion, I wrote an essay about what traits a person should have before becoming a physician. I even wrote about other doctors beliefs about what a physician really is and why they believe in their opinion. The last thing I did for the language art portion was read a book called Sybil and used Thinglink.com to create a small project. It's a relationship of the psychiatrist and a patient. It's about them going through good and tough times. For the history portion I created a mind map about the characteristics of a psychiatrists. I added reasonings to why I wanted to become a psychiatrists and the reason to why it takes these traits to become a psychiatrist. For the art portion, I made a gallery in artsteps.com to to understand the field pf psychiatry.

Project 4For my fourth Apollo Project. I decided to do research about black gospel music and other things that happened in the black community. I made a ThingLink for my history portion that describes three events that happened in the 1900s and late 1900s in the black community. I used key words from the events and addd them into my song. For the english portion, I read some hymnals and poems to help me understand a flow of a poem and song. I wrote down what the hymnals and poems meant to me. I wrote a gospel song that talks about the blacks marching through challenges with the Lord to have equality in the whole nation of the United States. For the art portion, I sang the song that I created by using my lyrics and using a beat from a different song called Onward by Pondington Bear. The song at first was really weird to me but then, I started to enjoy listening to its catchy toon!
